Dunno.. but the 3G coverage map scares me - blue is 3G, looks like it ends way far south of the track.

Yes, they do but it's "Pay to play". I think it was $50-100 for the weekend or something crazy like that.

I think we can see where greed has gotten us in the real world (racers do not live in anything approaching the real world). Don't know what the RA balance sheet looks like but this is just plain wrong. $50 is too much, $100 is just outrageous.

    Guess I'll forget that idea.

    Default Internet/Cell Signal

I have ATT Voice and Data coverage when I am there.
Low power signal but it works...and faster than dial up.

If you have an iPhone & OS3.0, there is a simple process you can execute to tether it to your computer via USB even though AT&T hasn't announced support yet. Your computer then uses your iPhone as its internet connection. There is only Edge at the track, but its better than nothing.

Don't quote me on the price Mike. I just remember that it was more than I was willing to pay, that's for sure. I can tether my cell phone to my laptop, but the coverage for my phone isn't so great at RA.

So, if a few of us pitch in $5 or $10 - anyone adverse to that? I'd like to be able to update our friends up in the Great White North during the weekend.

If I were a Carter I'd apply for a media credential through Apexspeed and then speak with Edmund Lacis or whoever is running the media stuff about the fee to the media wireless account.

    Just sayin.

I will be covering the event this weekend as a media member and a photographer. As long as there is wireless for the media, there will be photos and updates here on ApexSpeed all weekend.

The full eFormulaCarNews.com staff will be present during the event as well, so combined with the Apex gang, I'm sure those not in attendance will be able to keep abreast of all the action. Can't wait to get there on Friday.
