Mark,

Check out the "Season Warming Up" thread for details, but right now it looks like eight (8) confirmed entries in CFC - Aiken, Dowis, Eakin, Hatheway, Jewett, Matthews, Monfort, GR - with LaTerra still an unknown. Should be a barn burner and give a clear indication of how the rest of the season may go.

See you there...

Hot damn! 8 CFCs on the same track with 30 Mazdas all trying to win their big cash purse. Not to mention a few FAs and FCs. Chris Economaci where are you?

Sounds like we have a real party brewing. Speaking of brewing... who is in charge of beverages? I'll pick up the Aiken's bar tab, who will pick up mine?

I think Court has the restuarant picked out for Friday night. If they will let us back in after the February 9th "drivers school" party. Hatheway, try to be good this time. You are only supposed to look at the girls on the poles, no touching. Rookie, remember to bring your arm restraints to dinner.

The petition to have the FMs moved to Group 2 will be hanging on my trailer door. Be sure to write your SCCA member number next to your signature.

And remember... If it's not Purple, then it's not Purple.

If they are running for money then why aren't they running by themselves just like pro IT? I would really be PEE PEED if I was one of them and I took me out. You know what I'm saying it just didn't sound right. If I wanted to run for money with a bunch of people willing to do anything to win it, I would go back to dirt track racing where your whole week was spent doing sheet work. Let them run by themselves, it will make for a better race for them anyway. I can't believe they aren't the ones with the petition.

Montfort,

Your last two posts have me confused, are you sure that is what you are trying to say???

Friday night out??? Girls on poles??? Does this mean I have to wear underwear??

Looking forward to this!!!!! Make sure all you other guys take out all the FM's, etc.... so I don't have to be too concerned about them, ok???

I'm planning on arriving at the track Thursday night.

Leaving the office NOW!!!!!

Yippeeeee!!

You know, I'm not sure Roebling Road is ready for GR. In fact I'm not sure any of us are fully prepared for GR. I'm not sure he can get through the Georgia border guards.

He didn't wear his hat enough all those years working those corners.

What a motley group in CFC this weekend...

The points leader is stone deaf from listening to too much heavy rock. And has only raced 4 times in SCCA...and he's the leader???
One of the past champion's claim to fame is an extensive history of racing bathtubs, yes, the kind you fill with soap and water.
One kid isn't old enough to buy beer, even in Georgia. Most of the others are over twice (3X?) his age.
An officier of the law from Georgia that smiles.
An ex-polo player, that thought formula cars might be a less costly sport... not.
An armed and dangerous airline pilot with an attitude.
Two ex-dirt track drivers.
And a purple frog.

F1 just doesn't have CFC personality. I guess we need to hire IMG to go talk to Speed. I'll have my guy meet your guy for brunch... I'm afraid they would put us on E! instead.

The law officer from Georgia is not smiling so much anymore....Anyone have a spare front upright for a Swift SE3? An errant Vee took care of one of mine during the TEST DAY.....Oh well, I hope to be back to smiling in time for Kersahw Memorial Day....

Hey wait a minute, I've been 21 since August! Not that I'm proud of it, I wish I were 16... Oh well, good clean racing this weekend except for a Mazda-to-Vee-to-CFC collision. Doug, I'm glad you're ok and got away with minimal damage. Hopefully we'll see ya at VIR or CMP. Thanks a lot for the coil by the way!!!! I'll let Frog do the commentary, but had fun and glad to see we were incedent-free.

Someone plesase tell me why they don't just run us with the IT groups. That would be about the same as the roadsters and CSR, DSR's.

I stand corrected, There is nothing strange about GR. But, some funeral director is missing his funeral canopy... because I saw it set up out in the "burbs" at Roebling.

Maybe we should call him the "man in black". Black trailer, black racecar, black funeral canopy... and this guy is from South Florida. What was he doing in school when they explained the heat reflective qualities of light colors?

Hey, you know........... One of my favorite AC/DC tunes is "Back in Black". I see a theme here

"Beware The Dark Side Luke"

Marshall. It sounds like you're one of those python types. You eat a ton and fast for weeks The only difference I see (or don't) is you don't have any "bulges". I'm just glad I'm not the one pickin' up your meal tab!!! I could probably support another car with those funds

Tell your dad he should try that eating method too! Just before he goes on track so maybe, juuusst maybe, he would get a liiitttle sleepy and maybe I could GET BY

Dad eats like I do when he eats. Although I had no idea that plate of food would be that big. I ate shrimp for 45 minutes, and when I couldn't stomach any more I still had 24 shrimp left. They have a strange concept on portions in Savannah.

So that's what the noise was coming from that end of the table. You were hitting you're internal rev limiter

I don't know.......... I don't remember seeing much left on that plate!!!

Just curious. Was GT1vette helping, or was he just drinking' and countin' (or weighing) what was going down???? Well, I know he was enjoying the libations. Every time he let out a roar, the bar maid sitting across from me was flying down there to keep his cup full

GR,

Obviously my memory of the evening was different than yours. Only once do I recall politely asking our beertender if the gentleman at the end of the table (the one with the purple hair) had ordered another pitcher of ale. When she replied he had not, I quietly suggested that she should check and see if perhaps he was interested in doing so.

Of course my hearing MAY have been affected by years of driving cars with exhaust pipes the size of sewer lines. And it's absolutely untrue that we use an impact wrench to adjust the valves. I said, "IT'S ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE...".

It was a fun weekend. Welcome to the asylum...
