    Default What hight stands...?

Want to buy one set for use when the car is in storage and at the track. Thinking I should get the 7 inch ones so I can use the quick jack right on to the stands....?

If you only make one set of stands, make sure to make them high enough that your engine hoist legs can go under the car, and low enough so that your regular jack gets the car up high enough to put the stands under. Sounds silly, I know...
My PBS quickjack doesn't get the car high enough for my low stands, and my harbour freight aluminium jack doesn't get the car high enough for my high stands.

I've made 2 sets for my Lola T440 FF, the low set is 7" & the tall set is 22.5". My PBS quikjack works well with the lows & then I lift the car using an engine hoist & a strap thru the rollbar to get the tall stands under it.
