    Default Multiple event entry difficulty

I had no problem registering for the National event. However, when I then attempted to register for the regional event by selecting the entry fee as "additional entry" and the class as "FF regional," the number line switched to "no available numbers." This resulted in an error trying to complete the registration because the car number is required. Any ideas?

    Default 3-Digit Number?

    Steve:

Did the DLB system allow you to first choose a 3-digit number for the restricted regional and then use that number again for the national?

I registered. I selected my regular number 10 with the auto-populated "add 1 before number". It would have been a little slicker if dlb could have made the drop-down 100 to 199 if you selected CFF as a class, but that would have taken a bit more custom programming and I'm not a web-site author.

Looking forward to seeing everybody and having the best FF event of the year.

    Steve,

the >100 numbers were not offered as far as I can tell so I grabbed 36 and it indicated that a 1 was to be added. Like Dave described.

Two Royales in the show already!

Now I have to finalize the transport. If all goes well Stonebridge Motorsports take a big trailer full of toys and I fly out. Otherwise I am budgetting two days for the 1000 mile drive. If I can I want to do the test day as well. Try and figure the place out a bit. Can't wait!

I registered my son for the National but could not register for the regional--same reason--"no numbers available", so registration could not be completed.

    Default What's the fix?

So Steve, how did you fix the entry?

I'm having the same problem Lee described above and Tom appears to be having. I'm trying to enter 2 different cars for myself, which may be optimistic on my part....

    Default Workaround?

We'll be in contact with DLB on Monday. Until we get a permanent fix, I suggest that those entering multiple race groups enter the restricted regional first, select a 3-digit number, and then use that number again when entering the other race groups.

    Default Entry numbers

So I went to enter before reading the foregoing. Mistake.

I entered the Regional in CFF with my Crossle using my normal number of 28 assuming the 1 would be added automatically. I seem to have gotten registered but not have a number assigned? It is not clear (at least to me) that I should have added the 1 before my number.

I guess it will all get worked out in the end.

    Default Early Entries

Even with the problems noted above, there have been 26 entries in the 44 hours that the on-line entry has been up. I know it is dangerous to extrapolate, but that rate projected for the next 108 days works out to be 2574 cars.

The right people are working the on-line entry bugs...news to follow.

I had no trouble at all. I entered the CFF and then FF70 and that worked perfectly.

Steve, to paraphrase Roy Scheider in Jaws, you're gonna need a bigger boat!

    And lots more numbers.

JD, I think the problem right now is limited to those trying to enter the "regional FF" class which doesnt allow anyone to pick a number and registration cant be completed.

    Take care.

Default entered but question about my number

I finally got both the CFF and FF entered but I have a question about the numbers. For CFF, it let me enter with the car's current number, a single digit 4. I obviously can't just put a "1" in front of it because that number is taken. Will I be "104"? I think "04" is also an option. Maybe I should change to "74" and have "174" on the car for the event?

Beeler should know since he's entered as "5"....

Help/guidance sought from a higher source....

    Default Complications

I registered online Sunday just to grab a number and in confusion (I was taken aback after DLB asked for [no - demanded] the car's identity number and date of last tech!) registered only for the National. I think I got #4 (so I only had to cover up the 7 in my usual 47). Now I don't know what will happen when I add the Regional. This may get confusing.

    Default Bids?

    Steve:
Can we sell numbers like url's? They have to be worth at least the price of some duct tape, if not a decal.

    Frank,
I've got some really cool stickers/decals that would look GREAT on your car!!
And wouldn't "41" take less tape?
That would mean less high weight and less aero drag!!

In looking at the entry list, it doesn't look like 47 is taken. Maybe someone got it with a snail-mailed entry?

    Garey,

I registered as #74 with a 1 = #174 for the regional and national groups.

    Default Oops!

Many of you have correctly noted some confusion around the FF40th number assignments. I am working on a clarification on 3-digit numbers with our friends from the Milwaukee Region. I should have some news after the Easter weekend.

In the meantime, continue entering early and entering often. There are still plenty of good numbers available.

Steve, it is still not possible, for me at least, to register for the regional. It keeps coming up "no available numbers" meaning registration cant be completed since it is a required field. Judging by the fact that only 5 others have entered the regional, I am guessing I am not the only one to have this problem.

Also, can you clarify something else about the 3 digit numbers? If all cars entering the CFF/regional race are getting 3 digit numbers starting with "1" what is the point? Adding a 1 in front of every car in that race doesnt give you any more numbers to choose from. I think the intention was to give a 3 digit number to any car entering more than one race. if so, then only people entering CFF/regional PLUS either National or the Vintage should get a 1 added to their number, and anyone just racing in a single race should get a 2 digit number.

    Thanks

    Tom

I was the first to register on DLB for CFF #5, then I got an email from the registrar saying she had to change me to #15 because a certain individual had already registered by mail for #5. Then who pops up on the DLB list with my number but Mr Beeler! Oh well, RHIP I guess, as I certainly have not contributed to the cause of FF as has Mr Beeler.
Does raise the question though; will I have to carry #115? If so, what does Beeler carry? 1_5? 1-5? 1?5? I guess we'll find out soon.

Default Lola 440 gets #40 for the 40th

I did the early bird today & registered my Lola T-440 in the Vintage FF70 class & was rewarded with my choice of car number.....40! Figured with a Lola 440 & it being the
40th Anniversary of Formula Ford that car number 40 is most appropriate.

Mike, you are not doing anything wrong. There is a problem with the DLB online entry. They are working on fixing the problem. If you dont want to wait for it to be fixed, you can mail in your entry.

Mail entry forms and supps can be found here:

    Default Added Registration

I originally registered as a FF only for the National and had trouble adding registration for the Regional. Kay Imig, the Milwaukee registrat sent me instructions and they worked!

    She said:
"Just go and register again but this time pick the reduced fee instead of the $300.00 entry (Same driver/same or different car) and pick the FF Regional class.

It will go thru the same thing you did for the national race entry.

Also you can click on the little red car to see an entry list.
Look for yourself and check the group/class you are listed in."

The trick to adding the entry is in the fee window - by default $300 is showing. Opening the list on this window brings up the "same driver/same or different car" option. The numbers still are tricky. I think I am 4 for the National and (1?)47 for the Regional.
