    Default Pardon the dust...

Sorry for upsetting the apple cart around here with the new revised structure in the General Forum section, but I wanted to do a little house cleaning and organization. Should we eventually want more forum options here, it needed to be re-structured a little bit. Hope this is intuitive and not too overwhelming for the peeps around here who wince at change.

I am sure you are doing what you need to do to keep the forums operating smoothly but the format is very cumbersome compared to the old format.
Anyway, your dedication to the forums is much appreciated.

I guess it makes them a little more difficult to see than they were out in the open, but they are the same amount of clicks to enter each forum. We didn't feel that the SIM & Video Gaming Forum and the Photography forum needed to occupy as much real estate as some of the more populated forums. Really, nothing has changed in functionality—only in the basic appearance to what was previously there. That, and the General forum now takes up a LOT less space on the front page of the forums.

If any of the subforums ever take more traffic than they have in the past, we will certainly re-consider moving them back to the main level status.

    Untrue oh Great Forum Master.

When you go in to a MASTER level heading that may have numerous sub-forums within it, there's a minor problem if you are seeking all knowledge. As soon as you go into one sub-forum or read a post at the MASTER level post, then go 'back' to the MASTER level, all the bulbs have gone out that show you where addtional unread topics might be in other sub-forums. Thus, you may miss something of great import!

Probably some branch effect is needed to keep things neat, but it is more combersome to navigate.

"Bulbs" shouldn't change to off unless you turn them off by clicking the "mark forums read" or read the post regardless of where you are. Or, they are set to reset if you are on the forums for 2 hours.

Your issue is not forum related but browser related. Your browser cookies are letting you down. I know your internet connection is powered by hamsters on a wheel, Rick, but are you on a current browser? Try clearing just the ApexSpeed cookies from your browser, then log in again to create fresh cookies in your browser. 99% of the time, that should fix the problem.

The arrangement is much more user friendly and more compact.

    I like it
