Default For Sale: Radical Prosport CSR

    2000 Radical Prosport

This car was the first Radical in the US to win an SCCA regional and SCCA nationals race in D-sports when it was equipped with a Kawasaki motor. I purchased the car in late 2003 and equipped it for endurance racing. We won the 2004 and 2005 NASA Western Endurance Racing Championship in ESR class (as far as I know, it’s the only chain-driven sports racer to ever win a night enduro in the US) and then the car was re-built for sprint racing and has been racing successfully in the Radical Cup West since.

This is one of the best-sorted and maintained Radicals (or race cars of any type) you’ll ever see. No expense has been spared on upgrades and maintenance (over $10k was spent this year on replacing most of the suspension and brakes with newer spec parts) and there are few original parts on the car. It is currently equipped with a fuel-injected and dry-sumped Crago Racing 1400 Hayabusa motor which has 20 hours since new and 4.5 hours on the 1400 build. I have dyno sheets and engine oil analys history on the motor.

This car is now over a second a lap faster than the fastest Radical SR3s in the Radical Cup and I ran 1:19.8 (.6 seconds off the CSR lap record) at Willow Springs and 1:52.8 at Miller outer loop. Previous laps were done with a stock motor so aren’t relevant to the current speed of the car. Next event is at California Speedway where I anticipate running in the 1:40 range (was 1:44 with stock motor).

This car would be an excellent regional CSR car, a fantastic track-day car and is perfect for the Radical Cup West series. Can also run in HSR-West events and could be converted (with headlights) back to endurance racing spec for NASA enduros in ESR.

The list of upgrades and new parts is too extensive to list in an ad so instead, here’s a link to my youtube page so you can see how much fun you’d

    have racing this car:

I had a buyer but he didn't actually have the money so the car is for sale again!

I ran a few laps at California Speedway and on old worn-out tires, ran a 1:39.2 so this car is a ton of fun!

Here's that lap with G-force overlay:

    Default Coop Chimes In...

TO THIS DAY. 1 of the most fun cars I have ever driven was a Prosport.
I had access to a DSR in early '05, and had a blast.
A very balanced car, it did everything well; even put it on overall pole at Rd Atl once.
Co front row? A CSR Prosport!!
    Great cars.
    Regards, GC
