    Default Road America Sept 13 & 14

This weekend the FCM series will finish the regular season at Road America. We will be sharing (split start) the track with the EWC FF/CFF challenge and should be a fun weekend.

    Default Rain and more rain

Well, I wish the weather would have looked like the above photo, but the residue of Ike made sure that wasn't going to happen. Last race of the series with the champ already crowned, long tow and bad weather only brought out (4) cars. However, just like last year at Mid-Ohio in the pouring rain, the FST cars really like the wet. This was also the EWC weekene and we had a pre-arranged split start. On Saturday, two of the FST's out qualified all the FF/CFF grid and we were in the lead group of the split start. On Sunday, I was on the overall pole.

    Here are the results:

    Saturday

    Bill Bonow
    Robert Clark
    Aaron "Butch" Deer
    Carl Middelegge

    Sunday

    Bill Bonow
    Carl Middelegge
    Robert Clark
    Aaron "Butch" Deer

I think Carl has got plenty of video that will get posted soon.

Small grid (but still above the 'average' required) and rain.. shucks. Very interesting that FST's were the front group and 1st to take the green.

    NICE JOB Bill ! !

Did you manage to hold off the FF's for the overall win?

Actually on Saturday and Sunday, a F5 took the overall win with my FST finishing a close second OA. On both days, lapped almost all the FF/CFF field,

VERY interesting! Those F500's seem to have found something. Many new F500 lap records being set on the west coast. Did somebody invent a new magic clutch for those guys? They were buzzing around much faster cars in Portland this past weekend too.

Will look forward to more reports next season. We have one more race then it's into hibernation

Here is a video link from Carl Middelegge's car from the Saturday race. Only made it a half a lap before an F5 spun into him and popped a LF tire. It will give you an idea of the weekend weather conditions.
