Tim,....Fucia and Teal? Dude your scaring me. Purple and green in a man's world

Ok, you asked for it. My first Swift was a DB4 that I bought from a guy in Long Island. When he owned and raced the car in the Atlantic series it was painted all Black. It was the Black DB4 in the movie Freejack. Anyway,..The guy was approched by PPG to use the car in a magizine add and poster. PPG said they would repaint the car and when done, would return it with a show quality paint job. They aranged for all the shipping and return. The owner didn't go with the car for any of the painting or photo shoot. When they droped off the car at his shop, it was NOT black anymore. It was painted Um,.....Teal/White/Fucia and the guy threw a $hit fit. He was so pissed that he refused to race it anymore and the car sat for 2 years till I bought it 2 weeks before the 93 Runoffs. Lesson learned, don't buy new race car 2 weeks before Runoffs. Go to Runoffs with the Ralt 4 you raced all year ! I then raced the car in 94 thru 96 in the Toyota Atlantic series. The car always got a bunch of attention and the chicks really dug it as they say. That car was always my Mom's favorite out if the 12 I have owned, because she could spot it easily on track. This past winter I decided it needed to be painted something other than the Kephart "team" colors. I decided that because it's probably the last race car I own (other than my Vintage BS Datsun 510 which will NEVER be sold) that I would paint it my Mom's favorite colors. She's been my biggest race fan for 23 years and has never missed a race. When she showed up at LimeRock last weekend for the first outing this year, she had her old Atlantic days "team" shirt on which of course was Um,....Teal/White/Fushia!

    Default The best picture

Mike I gotta ask, where's the best photo of that car? On Track Magazine? The "Your ad here" photo?
I remember standing next to your Mom on the pit wall at Montreal as we watched your perfectly executed barrel roll on the "Supervision" screen live. She turned to me and asked "Is he going to be alright?"
    Yeah, he'll be fine.............................
