from what i understand only one or two have registered for the National. With the Andersen test day on the Tuesday and the series test day on Thursday, teams have lots of track time prior to series-opener getting underway.

SCCA is too much of a risk.

IMO, it is way too easy to get an SCCA License. Regional or National. You see some very sketchy driving in 40+ mixed group fields.

Yeah! Usually it's some young, ex-kart driving, cheater motor using, C-44 burning, not buying his own parts, whipper-snapper, racing on pure hormones! Oh, and fast too. Usually from some furrin country... like North Cuba.

Those of us in the AARP Racing Club try to run him off the track, but alas, we are to slow in reaction time, and we hit each other, or drive off the track trying.

i think chuck might be referring to the mixed fields and vastly dis-similar lap times in those fields.
Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays.

I can think of all kinds of responses to that. But I think I'll make the proper respectfull curtsie and shut up.

john, for the sake of any inheritance he better be talking about field size(wait a minute i race cars there is no inheritance)

As has become necessary at the start of every new year I disavow any responsibility for any comments that begin IMO Cole.

I was mostly talking about mixed classes (speed differences, weight differences).

but why would I specify that from the start when I could rile a few guys up? It's just too easy...

Just coaching as much as I can. Been walking around every Indy Lights/Atlantic/Grand-Am test within driving distance and no luck with a ride. This might not be a bad year to sit out though with the merger and all that lovely stuff. See everyone at VIR.
