He posted a while ago about some issues with Loyning.
His webpage http://www.andrewvarona.com/index.php
and
here http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/show...hlight=loyning
The car listed on ebay was a display/backup car for the Vredestein Racing Team at the Jan 2008 Homestead Double National. On the grid prior to the Saturday race a Univision film crew was filming alot of footage of the crew and driver of the Vredestein Racing Team. The drivers father came very close to tripping several times over the front of a FA gridded next to the Vredestein Racing Team 008 on the grid
A 1989 DB4 blew the wheels off the Vredestein Racing Team 008 midway thru the race on Saturday. The Vredestein Racing Team car never saw the track on Sunday.
A lot of information to help any potential bidder.
Karma gona git ya !

I'm curious if anyone else has taken a look at his racing bio and then compared it to results. Some interesting stuff.
You guys are all crazy. That's an F1 car!
"His long entrepreneur success has given Andrew new life in the Formula One series with new sponsors set for the 2007 season."

Andy raced in the SARRC last season. I think Formula Cars East did some of the prep work. I didn't take a close look but from a distnace the cars were clean and seemed to be well prepped. I think Andy has the money to make sure they are taken car of-
Previous post were a little off the wall but good afternoon reading
Could this be Andrew's primary car for sale? According to his web site he will be busy racing in the NASCAR Busch series this year AND racing in the Indy 500 and so how will he have time to race in "Grand Prix" I noticed that Loyning Engines was not listed on his sponsor page.
I know that we are all concerned about open wheel racing here in the US. I think we can now rest knowing that there will be a "Reynard Cart Series" with a 12 race schedule. Andrew and ADRIANO have made a deal to purchase all remaining chassis??? I don't have the talent possibly some of you can get in line for a ride.
“Andrew Varona, President/CEO of Vredestein Racing Team closes deal with Reynard Cart Series for new open wheel series in 2008”
President and CEO Andrew Varona will unveil a new open wheel series in 2008 called Reynard Cart Series. He has been in ongoing negotiations with Adriano Reynard the chassis builder of Champ Car until 2003 to purchase all remaining chassis for a new open wheel series that will be located in the east coast US. We are looking for new driving talent in both the Latin and European markets ads Varona. They will begin with a 12 race season for 2008.
So this guy is starting this Reynard Cart Series although there is no mention of it anywhere other than his website and 1 forum. He's going to run the Indy 500 but he only turns FC times in an FA. Something just sounds odd about this guy. He must be good at raising money though.
You can all download one of these for your own.
At this year's Sebring National, another FA driver (Ben Johnston, an all around great guy) did have a Reynard Champ Car on display.
He said that he has 12 of these cars, and that Rousch is adapting a non turbo Ford motor for them.
I do not know any more details of his plans.
Andrew did not run at that Sebring race.
hey guy's, Andy is not a bad guy , he may not have been around as long as some of us , but he tries, as to all those champ car's, my good friend Ben Johnso is trying to put together a seris for these car's , tv maybe , Ben is one stand up guy ! what ever we can do to help him , he deserves , on more than one occasion when i have had motor problems Ben has offered up his newly rebuilt spare at no cost , including having Byron help put it in my car , so again, lets all try to help , john z
John
How are you and the CSR doing after Homestead.
I was in the stands (with Mike Campanelli) near the grid when out of the corner of my eye I saw some body work flying high in the air at turn 2. I found out later that there was a car attached to the bodywork that I saw flying and that you were the pilot.
Hope all is well with you and that the car can be repaired.
Dave
I've never met Andy, but by all accounts Ben is a great guy and I wish him well with his Champ Car efforts. I for one would really like to see those Reynards on the track again.
John, I hope that your shop is liveable again and that you are getting the CSR back together. Will you be at the Roebling National?
hey guy's , thanks for your concern , the CSR swift /viking is still lacking parts and time to make it go again , my right hand is still not ready to race , but we'll get it together , thanks again , john z
Maybe the guy just needs to hire a publicist/webmaster that is VERY bilingual. Maybe it's all BS, giving him the benefit of the doubt, however , it could be that some of the facts on his website got distorted in translation from Spanish to English?
hey , that works !
It's back with a much lower starting price. It appears to be a buyers marketplace for 008's.

What I find funny about this posting on ebay is the 3rd photo of the add is of "MY" car..Does this photo look familiar??? I don't think it has become a buyers as of yet..This guy is up to something..
The photo of the engine was used in another listing, for a Loynings motor. I was expecting to see the listing pulled prior to the end, much like what has happened to the 008 in a previous auction, but the motor did sell for $7,887.
Here is a link to the motor that just sold.

Yes both of those pictures are of my car..
Did that engine have the fuel injectors mounted Outside (in front of) the intake trumpets?
On Ebay.
Don't they mount on the bottom of the runners on the Swift. But is that fuel line running into the bottom of the air box?
No..
There is about a 3.5 to 4 inch 90 under there for mounting the fuel line away from the body work..We had actually broke the fitting from the fuel rail due to excessive pressure on the line from the bodywork..
Thats why I ask.
WHAT THE HELL DOES SOMEONE'S FATHER HAVE TO DO WITH THIS ADD. YOUR COMMENT IS STUPID AND REDICULOUS AND TRULY IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MY FATHER IS DISABLED WITH CANCER AND TRULY IT WAS A PLEASURE HAVING HIM THERE. AS TO YOUR COMMENT ABOUT A DB4 BLOWING BYE ME PERHAPS THAT WAS ONLY POSSIBLE SINCE MY ENGINE BLEW.. WHENEVER YOU WANT TO MEET AT THE TRACK TO SHOW HOW FAST YOU ARE NAME THE TIME AND PLACE.... PRETTY STUPID STUFF COMING FROM A SENIOR MEMBER..
I'm sure Dave did not mean to insult you...
How do you explain the different engine pics?

I've raced wheel to wheel with Andrew for at least two seasons. Always been safe to be around and a gentleman on track. Dont recall seeing his cars in any incidents or parked due to mechanicals.
In fact, a lot of us stop by their paddock to admire their FA's (especially that sweet ADP car) everytime they are around. His crew are friendly, dont mind us pawing their cars, and they always seem to be smiling. Not sure if I've ever actually met Andrew, but always good to see his cars and team in the paddocks.
