    Default Does this make sense?

I am sitting here looking at two different Renewal forms. The first I got just after the first of the year charging me $75 for my Natl lic renewal and enclosing the medical forms. By the time I had the medical info all together and ready to renew my membership and license which expire 2/29/08. I get another renewal set in the mail yesterday that shows $85 for the natl license renewal. It appears that I am being penalized by having to wait for all the med info to compile from two different specialists ( I have some medical issues that require waivers) before I could submit the renewal. I do not think this is fair to me or my fellow competitors in the same circumstances. It takes awhile for one doctor to submit his statements and info let alone two. Am I missing something here?

Are you confusing, perhaps, the renewal for your license and the one for your membership? I just sent mine in, and the two fees were the same as you stated, and we're in the same region.

I got it too and I had already sent in the first one. I thought the price was different, but wasn't positive. Either way the second one got pitched.

I also received 2 forms one with a $75 fee and one with an $85 fee. The first arrived just

after the new year and was sent back with a check about a week before the second arrived.

Might want to check what you threw out. I received a bill for $170, which broke down to $85 for the national comp renewal, $60 for the membership renewal, and $25 for regional dues.

I received two envelopes from SCCA, the first just for the license renewal and the second for the membership, but the total also showed the license renewal.

Just to make it more confusing, you can renew your membership online at scca.org but not the license, even if you don't need to submit a medical.

I'm going to get my physical today and I also got two letters with two physical papers in them. One letter came before christmas with the physical paper and $185 bill and the other letter came at the first of Feburary with another physical paper and another $185 bill. I don't understand what that's all about but I'm only sending in one physical form and $185 total.
That' for a membership and a regional license only.

I just checked my checkbook and the amount due for regional dues, membership renewal and my comp license renewal was $155. The second one was thrown out whatever that was asking for.

    Eddie,

I know how you feel. Between the medical doctor (bad leg, knee, reflexes), the optometrist (like 60-30 and getting worse every day) and the psychiatrist (I'm still mentally ill so she keeps pumping me full of anti-rage medicine and rubber stamps the form) it takes me like a month to get clearance.

But it still costs me $155.

Just kidding on the medical stuff

    Can't wait til' May!!

Just found the renewal notice too. The breakdown was:

    Regular (G) Membership: $60
    Regional Dues: $20
    National Comp Renewal: $75

The national comp license renewal was recently increased from $75 to $85. See the January BoD minutes.

I got a second billing, after I had all ready mailed in the first. I disregarded it.

I finally got everything together and sent it all in with the higher amount. I have enough issues without being bounced for a lousy $10. I still think it was unfair to those of us who weren't able to submit before getting the newest billing.
