F2000 Championship: G. JEZARIAN Fine Jewelry Signs as Associate Sponsor

January 28, 2008--New York City based G. JEZARIAN Fine Jewelry signed on today as an associate sponsor of the F2000 Championship Series for the 2008 season. Company owner, Gregory Jezarian, will provide awards at season's end to both the series champion and the champion of the newly created "Masters Cup" which consists of entrants over age 40. Additionally, Jezarian will be on hand each race to personally present the "G. JEZARIAN PassMaster Award" to the driver who gains the most positions during the race weekend.

Gregory Jezarian, himself a Formula Atlantic club racer, is excited to be on board with the F2000 Championship Series for 2008: "I'm fortunate to have a strong following of ChampCar and IRL drivers and teams as clients. I'm confident in short time many F2000 drivers will be joining their ranks too. Having witnessed pro-F2000 racing first hand, I believe the series has the most talented and dedicated race drivers in the country. It's an honor to have G. JEZARIAN Fine Jewelry associated with a series of this stature. These drivers are the future of open wheel racing in America."

Expect a full explanation of the Masters Cup from the series owners shortly.

Thanks for all the kind emails of support thus far and thanks to Al Craighead for spreading the news on EFCN. We're all looking forward to the best F2000 season yet!

    Regards,

Its a separate championship award & points for old geezers like you and me to keep things interesting for us....although, I have no problem running with the kids. Maybe its more directed at the Fat Boys.

mmm...oops...geezers over 40, (not 35- they're still kids)... looks like the final edit on the press release didn't take hold

Look for the official Master Class rules and other things on our website (http//:f2000championshipseries.com) in the weeks to come as we start to solidify associate sponsors, rules addendems, etc. leading up to VIR in April.

Well at least have a class for people who have cars older than some of the other drivers.

I only get to 50 with my car.

My total is 77... No wonder DaveW is faster than me, his number is higher. Obviously, I need to get an older car.

Perhaps we have this backward. Drivers under 20 could be in a "Junior" category while everyone else fights for the Championship.....

I already have AARP sending me stuff, I don't need any more reminders.
