Richard Morgan Racing Announces Return to Professional Racing

Today, Richard Morgan, team principal of Richard Morgan Racing (RMR), announced plans for his team’s return to professional racing for the 2008 season. The former F2000 champion’s primary focus will be the Zetec powered F2000 cars in the F2000 Championship Series.

In 2007, RMR returned to SCCA regional racing with a second place finish in the Formula Continental South Atlantic Road Racing Championship. In ten starts the team amassed eight top-two qualifying positions with four poles and four wins.

Previous years have tallied 59 professional driver starts with 12 front row starts, five poles, 13 podium finishes and four wins. RMR resume includes a USF2000 Pro National Championship in 2001, a second in the 2000 and a third in the 1999. RMR drivers can be found racing in IMSA, Grand AM, Atlantics and Indy Pro Series.

The team plans to utilize its previous F2000 championship experience to put the right drivers at the front of the field in 2008. Current programs are available for the SCCA Winter Nationals and the entire F2000 Championship Series. RMR is accepting funded driver inquiries via phone (704)-957-3452 or email at rmracing@bellsouth.net .
