    Default There's always next time

Charles, you definitely earned the win this weekend - I was trying everything except for the Speed Racer tire spikes to get past you. Pinning me behind that moving roadblock in the esses was definitely the nail in the coffin.

As for the setup, you'll have to get that by e-mail from one of my crew members, and then turn yourself into Eakin for cheating, and he'll let you off with only a $100M fine...

I had a great time this weekend, win or lose.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Chris you went by so fast it blurred the image!
At least you went slow enough in the paddock to get a clean shot.

Well I'll be danged. Chris talked to me (last Fall?) about getting into formula cars after a successful, semi-long career in door slammers.

If he isn't already, I'll bet Chris will be running at the front soon.

Glad to have you in the open wheel ranks!

I think Sebring/Moroso is a must after Holidays, any place to keep the cars for a couple of weeks???

First- ChazFin, you finally busted your cherry! Great job!

A couple of suggestions on Sebring/Moroso in January. Andersen Racing has Sebring for private testing for the three days prior to the two open test days before the weekend. You can park rigs in there quite easily. You have to check, but I believe Homstead will allow rigs to be parked there during the week between the races. Order tires ahead of time. Have fun, 'cause its not winter in the great northeast down there in January.

    Charles,

Congrats on your win. I had really hoped to get the chance to stop by and say hello last weekend but I never caught up with you guys. Thanks for keeping us entertained here on Apex all year and for all the laughs.

Here's a couple of photos from Saturday's race.

Charles and crew : it was fun as always. Hopefully you guys arent hanging it up for the rest of the year. You should really come out for the VRG/ FPR event 10/19-20 at The Glen. Looks like we are getting 3 sessions both days (including a 45 minute race on Saturday).

Chris- the races are traditionally the first 2 weekends of January; this year would be 5/6th and 12/13th. There are generally 2 test days prior to both. I mis-spoke above when I said Sebring/Moroso- its now Sebring/Homestead but I heard rumours the second race is going back to Moroso next year...

From what I have been hearing in the South. The Homestead race will be a Double National. I know Sebring is very easy going about trailer parking, Homestead can get a bit touchy as an ISC Track. You boys will have a blast. Sebring long course doesn't have the elevation of many Northern tracks, but T1 and T17 will seperate the men from the boys.

Without discussing it with Jimbo, I'm saying B-B-Q at the Morgans. Pool, Hot Tub for Finelli, Beach less than a 5 mins away. Who's in?

    Cole,
Please take the advice of someone who has many more years then you....get permission from Mrs Jimbo. Even if Mr says no, we know who really runs the households of America.

Beware of any man who tells you he runs his house, he will lie about everything else as well.

UPDATE: Mrs. Jimbo says "That would be fun" and "I guess we have to get a new grill."

We obviously haven't told her about Finelli, but whatever, Party on Boys!

Cookout at Morgan Residence between Sebring and Homestead Nationals, more details to come.

Re: Homestead parking --- back in '03, we parked and worked on the property outside the track for the best part of two weeks during the FranAm winter series. They were very accommodating back then. Might still be...

Now I'm in a quandry... I raced at Sebring last January. Afterwards I said "Been there, done that, got the T-shirt". I didn't see the need to return (unless it was to drive in the 12 Hour).

But... now... If the Fatboys are going... The chance to drive on a world famous track at the same time that Charles Finelli esq is also on the track... very tempting.
