came within a couple of tenths of my best ever but knew that i had nothing for the cream of the field. on the saturday pace lap, the #1 port exhaust header bolts came out as the green was being thrown......as it slowly happened at first a tiny flapping sound sounded like my tear off was loose - then the sound got louder of course and was a very confusing thing - then it sounded like i was losing an engine bearing about half way around turn one - then it sounded like a cracked exhaust header coming out of two - then it sounded like a car without the exhaust doughnut going into four. i pulled off at four rather than limp all the way to nine and maybe have the leaders catch me exiting the bowl.

thanks to those that came through with parts for the sunday session.
