Default F2000 Championship Series season opener

With the season opener at VIR on April 12-15 approaching it is time to look at the expected entry.
As of Friday March 30th it stands at a very possible 38 cars.
Those are comprised of the following configuration cars.
22 Zetec powered FC cars on 6&8" rims.
10 Pinto powered FC cars on 6&8" rims.
6 Zetec powered "Cooper" spec cars on 8&10" rims.

There are 2 Mygale's entered, new Zetec powered cars.
There is a Zetec powered Piper entered.
There is a horde of Van Diemens entered, everything from RF98 through RF06.

The multi-car teams of GTP Motorsports [5 cars], St Clair Motorsports [4 cars], Andersen Racing [4 cars], and the Gresiger Motorsports affiliated group representing 7 entries [which includes all the 8&10" wheel runners] account for 20 car and driver combinations all together.
With drivers from 11 states and 4 countries all bets are off for who might surface at the sharp end of the grid and standing on the podium on Saturday April 14 and Sunday April 15 for Races 1 and 2 of the 2007 campaign.

Media coverage, provided by on site Formula Car Magazine and Eformulacarnews.com senior editor Al Craighead, guarantees there will be timely updates as the action happens on both Eformulacarnews.com and of course Apexspeed.com.

Details of where and when Speedcast Productions first Webcast will be announced as that information is available.

Next Race: May 11-12, Road Atlanta

As the field develops it appears there is every possibility the field a VIR might just triple the inaugural F2000 Championship Series race one year ago, also at VIR, when the starting field, on Easter weeknd of 2006, was 13.
There is a distinct possibility for 39 starters.
Of course, given the history of entrants having late issues, there is also the possibility of "only" 35.
Either way, there is likely to be some great racing on April 14 and 15 at VIR.
Any interested driver, crew, entrant, racer is invited to come see what is going to be a large field of good cars and drivers.

Ambrose, as it says at the bottom of my initial post above, as soon as we know where and when we will definately let the open wheel community know how to access the first webcast of F2000 races.
It is expected there will be links posted here[Apexspeed], on the series website [www.f2000championshipseries.com] and Eformulacarnews.com just as soon as it all is setup and ready to go.
Stay tuned, it won't be long now.....
