Made a quick mention late last year on the formula S forum about this car I planned for F1000 conversion. Power is RC51 (a bit lower HP than current I4s) injected V-twin.
Rear transaxle will be similar to my VanDiemen R1 conversion with the exception of the pushrod and shock location. Engine is stressed in addition to a stressed bellypan that will tie into the front of the transaxle/rear of motor.
Glad to hear the rules are leaning owards a SIR and 1000lb weight. Will make this car a bit more competive with current I4s.
BTW, the Vandiemen weighed 725lbs. Hope to have this one around 800.
