Looking for an idea of what type of car you plan on running in the up comming season.

Forgot to specify east coast only!
Andersen Racing intends to enter at least 2 SCCA spec Zetecs, and possibly one SCCA pinto. We hope to be running 3 cars, and we should be announcing our driver lineup in about 2 weeks. We currently have just one seat open.
Greisiger Motorsports will have 4 Pro Spec Zetec's and 1 Pinto FC as well as 2 additional Fat Boy Racing Pro Spec Zetec's. No one out of our 7 cars wants to see an equalization between FC and Spec cars.

I'll let the driver do the actual vote but Rob and I will be running his car as a FC spec zetec. Looking to add a second car for the full series as well.

Fat Boy is actively seeking a 3rd Pro Zetec for a very interested friend AND we hear another friend of ours is giving up an Atlantic for a pro Zetec (still has not found it) also another friend has aquired a Pro Zetec but does not think he will fully commit to F2000.
I am Confident that Fat Boy will have 3 Pro Zetecs and ONLY Pro Zetecs bringing the Combined Greisiger/Fat Boy team and WE ARE A TEAM to 7 Pro Zetecs and 1 Pinto

i have the GMI/FATBOY pinto and am against the equalization. Actually let me clarify. I'd be fore the equalization if i felt it could actually be "equalized", however i don't think they'll ever be 100% equal. That being said some MAJOR pre-season testing NEEDS to be happening to at least work on the equalization formula.
Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays.
Chris Gumprecht, a memeber of the Fat Boy/Greisger Team has not yet chimed in for the 13th Pro Zetec

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!!!! And yes I am in the Sparco suit, I am Shummy and my wife is one of the Bridgestone girls.

How many will do at least 4 of the 6 race weekends???
I know Greisiger/Fat Boy 6 Pro Zetecs and 1 Pinto will do ALL events.

Regarding March Road Atlanta date, it did fall down, as in it isn't standing any more. We are going to Road Atlanta but pending finalizing the arrangements we won't state the date quite yet.
Expect the revised Final Schedule to be out by Jan 12 at the latest. It will be posted here [Apexspeed], Eformulacarnews, and of course our newly rebuilt series website, www.f2000championshipseries.com.
The 2007 F2000 Championship Series will start April 12 with an F2000 dedicated Test Day at VIR followed immediately on April 13-15 with Round One featuring the usual 2 practice sessions on Friday, Qualifying Saturday morning and Race 1 that afternoon, then Qualifying again Sunday morning for Race 2 in the PM.
Hankook will be in attendance from approximately noon Wednesday the 11th for service.

Mike I see you listed as BRINGING a FC Zetec to the fight, Is this true?
Charles Finelli
Fredvs please create a NEW pole requesting the same cars but LIMITED to cars planning to run EAST Coast and AT LEAST 4 of the 6 weekends.
Thank You,
Charles Finelli
Looking at that list, i'd say there is some stuffing of the balot box going on.... we'll see what the field looks like at VIR.

It does look like all 21 Pro Zetecs are for real and are ready to fight. I get to 21 since Chris Gumprecht has NOT yet voted as the 21st car
I think we should institute the VOTING HALL of SHAME for the Pinto's that vote but do not show up to fight.
But I guess there may be a loop hole in that, though we are on the FF2000 Champ Series site, some guys may just be voting because they own a car not actually racing them.

OOPS! Sorry 'bout that. I will be running West Coast only (unless the Federales catch up with me). Didn't see he post specifying East Coast only. Didn't mean to skew your numbers.

Sorry, I too skewed your numbers before I realized this was for the east coast series only. Please remove 1 pro zetec from your count............bob
Lap 2 Racing will be competing with 1 car, Pinto engined, out of our new Caribbean headquarters. 4 races were a definite, it moved up to 5 after Cleveland replaced Summit but then got dropped back to 4 again when the Road Atlanta date was shifted.
Thought about getting a Zetec but all the Kniffin NY lawyers drove the price up so guess me and Hazelnut will have to prove that the shift to modern day Ford power was an error
look forward to racing against 50 other drivers at VIR and reckon that by the time Lime Rock comes around it won't be so much 2 races a weekend as back to the golden days of F/Ford racing of 2 heats and a final... either that or I will have to listen to Doug whining that with so many cars he couldn't get a clear lap in qualifying.
See you in 07

If you'd get your slow (and soon to be very tan) ass out of the way, it won't be a problem
Will the famous Gilkes umbrella girls be returning for the benefit of all of our Nascar fans at Lime Rock?

i've looked everywhere, pegasus, BAT, saferacer, etc... for one of those umbrella attachments for my car. they appear to be peculiar to canada. please bring several to lime rock. we seem to be wearing them out.
The Umbrella attachments Also seem to be missing at the hospitality tent.
may try to get out to a couple of your east coast events .. soo if so ...it will be a PRO spec Zetec .... not sure if that counts .... for your poll ........

Ya Baby, I knew the Brent Gilkes Umbrella Girls would get the West Coast guys out here

so is the series going to supply umbrella girls, or must we bring our own?

Can't find anything regarding running a couple of events without "officially" registering for series...is that possible, or do you have to pay the registration fee (series) irregardless.
Not a 100%, but I believe there were some folks who did one off races last year. I know there were several at the Summit race.
Jeff O
2007 rules update will be posted on the F2000 website and here in January, but most likely it will be like last year- you will be able run one weekend (2 races) without registering for the series. Stay tuned, we're working on all this stuff.

I vote for 2 events, (not that my vote really means anything)
Hi guys,
Greatly looking forward to the new season. As a way of keeping track of who is racing this year, we at www.eformulacarnews.com have started a tentative driver line-up discussion in the F2000 forum. Feel free to let me know if you should added to the list or removed.
Cheers,
