Default Body Height

If I read the rules right they are like FC body
height rules 90 cm (35.43"). The air intake scoop
on the new cars looks taller than that because of
the roll bar being taller. I like this and want to
build my car like that but the rules say it is illegal.
Can someone clear this up for me?

Default Stohr car

Is the roll bar on the new Stohr incorporated onto the scoop? Or is the scoop above the roll bar?

That part of the Stohr is legal as the roll bar and engine air scoop are not included in the height restriction. There are things that they will have to change to be legal though such as anti intrusion bars on the front a-arms.

Default An oversight

Actually, the F1000 rules as currently written do not allow that extra height for the engine intake like it is written in FF/FC, etc. I've pointed that out in another post, and hopefully they will fix it with a slight rewording.

Paragraph d. on FCS-55 specifically exempts the engine air box from the FC/FF height restriction. That includes the entire air box...the intake, the paint on the outside, the filter inside it, the sticker reading "This End Forward"...the whole enchilada. Stan

True, just as I pointed out. However, that caveat was omitted from the F1000 rules - unless have somehow missed reading it, wherever it is!

Ah yes, you meant F1000. Good catch, and I am confident Dave has incorporated your suggestion into the F1000 rules. Stan

Yep - after your post I edited my other post to make sure the references were totally clear!
