Trying to figure out if the beveled toothed part of the clutch plate faces towards the motor or towards the trany? I just bought a new plate and the rest is pretty much self explanitory, just need to know which way the plate goes

Hopefully someone who knows will answer, but here's an attempt on my part.
The "extended" "nose" part of the disc probably goes towards the transaxle, because if you put it in the other way it would hit the flywheel bolts. Hold it up to the flywheel before you bolt the plate on and see if the disc is flush with the flywheel surface.
I've never changed a 2 liter clutch, but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn once.

I just changed a clutch disc last week. If it is a single disc setup, correct the "Cone" shaped part of the hub, goes towards the tranny. If it is a Tilton Unit, the rivits should have a "TE" on them, that faces the engine.
