    Default Ligier JS F422

Connor Roberts got the opportunity to test the new Ligier JS F422 yesterday at CMP

Thought I'd post a couple of pics under the engine cover. Powered by the all new Storm V4 1.65 liter racing engine.

Car has a very unique sound, and drives great.

Where does a Storm V4 engine come from? If it sounds anything like the old Honda V4 Interceptor, I'm in!

    Default Storm V4

It's made by Ligier. Can't say it sounds like the Interceptor. Judge for yourself.

Is HP/Torque of this motor on par with Honda powered F4? Or has there been a modification to performance level of the cars?

    Default Performance?

I don't know HP/TQ numbers but I do know that it's homologated to the FIA F4 specs and they have strict power/weight ratios which I'm sure have been met.

I looked at the F4 engine tables and they are unchanged since 2015.

That IS a unique sound. Much deeper than I'd have guessed.

Wow, that sounds great! Almost LMP3-ish on the flyby. Would not have expected that.
