I opened the picture and I didn't see FIA approved like the few I saw at the runoffs. Still too expensive for what is really a throw away piece in an accident that in the deciders opinion won't happen if you just send $200.

Like many, I don't like the way this light was pushed through.

However, I bought and installed the light Kevin has listed. It is a VERY bright light. It is nicely made and installed easily. It IS the FIA approved light that SCCA will dictate we use 1/1/24. I was tagged from behind on the first lap pile up during the FE2 race at the Runoffs, and the light bracket was bent...but the light was unharmed. I never thought a $200 light was necessary, and still don't, but I was glad to see it hold up to some punishment. The previous light I had would have broken with just a slight hit.

There are 17 pages of debate about how this was handled. I just want to shed some "light" on how it actually performed, and I was happy. Period.
