AVON Tires SOLD?

I've heard whispers that AVON Racing Tires was purchased by GoodYear? Any truth to this and what does that mean for cars that run on AVON's currently?

Goodyear bought Cooper and Cooper owns Avon so technically yes. UK plant where the motorsports tires are manufactured is set to close this DEC.

What is pertinent is that the UK Avon mfg. and warehouse is a model facility and may end up being purchased by someone entirely new. Goodyear has zero interest in continuing any production there nor in moving it to the US like the early rumors.
Production is assured until end of 2023, but the demand in Europe is so high this year that we in US are not getting as prompt delivery as in the past.
