    I'm the officlal and I stand by what I said.....we are NOT killing off any classes due to the addition of EVs.

    To the other point, we created Prototype Electric (PE) for folks who want to build an EV that mimics a P2 car. How is that "opposite"? EVs will have their own classes for a variety of reason. BoP being just one. As the previous poster noted, it really tough to balance the performance of two vastly different types of cars. It'll take time to get a handle on how these cars perform. This is new to everyone.....builders, drivers, workers, stewards....and rule makers.

    As there is only so much time in the race day, they will be put in existing run groups. That said, maybe there's a day when EV classes are so populated that they'll need their own group.....but we are a loooong way from that point.
