    Default Howard ignition

    Hey guys, anyone able to help with wiring code for an old Howard single box unit as used on BDD Coswoth. Particularly the coil wires, triggers are ok. Thanks Peter

    Default Howard ignition

    Usually the failure was the Hall effect chip which was easily replaced when Radio Shack was around as I believe they only cost $1 or 2. To fail all they had to do was touch anything and of course when they were at the nose of the crank and virtually impossible to get at they would fail! I don't think electronically they were anything special as John Riegel who helped me simply figured out what component were and made a new board and John was not an electronic guru by any means. All of the various components were easily identifiable by the stripes and colors on them and available from any electronic parts catalog.
