    Default 1st Gear Identification Question...LG???

    Hi All,

I have a 1st gear and want to confirm that it is an LG First.
    The shaft has 10 splines.
The ratio is marked as 12-37 M/16-39 M.

    Best,
    Guil

I thought the LG layshaft, as measured across the 10 splines, was more in the 1.5" range

without my calipers, I measured a DG-B layshaft at a little under 1 3/8" at splines, and the bearing at the reverse gear is approx 1 7/16". An LG layshaft is approx 1 1/2@ splines and the bearing dia. near the reverse gear is approx 1 7/8. I think it might be a DG-B,

Worth noting that DG300 and DGB dimensions are very similar. Gearset are *almost* interchangeable between the two gearboxes - the thickness of the gears is different by .020" or similar, and the dogs on the DGB are a little taller.
