Plastic or brass floats for original Italian Weber 45 DCOEs? (The brass floats appear to be just fine, but I have seen references on line to the plastic ones being superior. Can't figure out why?)
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Lola: When four springs just aren't enough.
Brass floats in orig Old school series Dcoe’s. The later 151 and 152 series with the additional air bleed screws run the plastic floats.I have used complete float assy’s swapped between early and late series dcoe bodies with no ill effects.
from what I've seen the floats don't break off the plastic ones if you forget to fill the bowl before a long tow
Curious, but are the IDA and DCOE brass floats the same? I have some NOS IDA brass floats available.

IDA/IDFs are different than DCOEs.... I could be interested in the IDF ones if you decide to sell.
