Default So, I probably shouldn't look overseas for a car

Apparently this... something sold in the Netherlands at auction for 8,000 Euros. For that price it had better be Niki Lauda's first race car or something....

Well, it's got the DRIVER name on the side. That's a clue.

You thread title should be "So, I probably shouldn't look under the sea for a car."

Well, I have no Euro experience buying cars. But there seems to be "hot' and "cold" types of cars. A few years back, I sold my 78B March to a UK dealer who bought it for a client (I sold it through Apex, and used that opportunity to pay Apex a "commission" via a donation, as I never would have found that buyer without Apex!!!). That car was worth more there than here, despite the fact that that fully restored FA was going to be converted to F2 spec (a not-immaterial cost). A year ago, my Lola 492 was worth a LOT more in North America than in Europe (in a moment of weakness, thankfully since overcome, i had thoughts of selling based upon current transactions in the USA), based on recent transactions. All to say, it is not necessarily an efficient market when looking over the pond.
