Default Anyone know what this is?

    12A engine
The car was apparently built in Japan.
Transmission is similar to LD200 Hewland but has integral bell housing.

There was a Japanese SR series built around F2 cars. A VARA member had a March F2 with SR body and I think a 13B in it. early 80s chassis but before ground effects. Huge rear track, full width wing, wicked fast. Car got sold into Canada I believe, and was being converted back to F2.

I bet this is out of the same series. Doesn't look March to me but the front bulkhead ought to be instantly recognizable to folks who worked a lot of tub cars back then.

    Thanks.
West 87S is my best guess so far.
History of West in Japan goes back to the 1970's, the Australian West started much later and is not associated is what I am told.

I should have used the RF82!
The Fox was a 'knife in a gun fight' (very slow) but I didn't get into any trouble and I finished the group 13 enduro (3 laps!). The big news is that me and the Kodiak Fox got into the 'big picture' which made the whole trip worth it!
7200 kilometres round trip without any problems so that was a success all of its own. I used my 2 litre 5 speed Ford Escape to pull my 2 wheel trailer. It did the trip to Indy in 2017 so now I'm planning on towing to COTA next November!
Nice to hear from you Frank, how's your RF82 coming along?
