Default How Are the P2 Fields?

    Good Morning:

After a hiatus from an abbreviated P1 attempt several years prior, I'm looking into P2 with a Radical SR3 RS. How is the 2019 car count in the P2 fields at various SCCA events Nationwide? Has the car count stabilized, increased or decrease over the past few years? Thanks for any input.

    Default P2 Fields

According to SCCA tracking to achieve eligibility for the 2020 runoffs:

    https://www.crbscca.com/public/runof...fsTracking.php

    P2 is averaging 4.0 entries...

SEDIV has a great Regional Championship program that has been in existence for many years. SARRC - South Atlantic Road Racing Championship. There is a SARRC website. http://sedivracing.com/road-racing/ If you take a look at this link, you will find the SEDIV schedule. Further down is the current SARRC points which will give you an idea of how many people in each class have entered. There is also a separate Florida Cup Regional series which runs both with and separate from the SARRC races. Regarding P2 entries, I have been anywhere from the only P2 car to one of 6 entries over the past few years.

As stated above, SCCA keeps track of the Majors but ignores the Division/Region races.

Or go to Speedhive MyLaps https://speedhive.mylaps.com/ and you can find the level of participation at almost every SCCA race.

    Default P2 car counts

FWIW: SCCA apparently does track Regional car count by division:

I can't comment on P2 fields but I just purchased a Radical SR3. The car is an absolute blast to drive. Balanced and much more forgiving then I expected. Purchased it knowing SCCA fields could be small but also gives you the option of racing with NASA and Radical cup.

Ahah! I knew you couldn't give up the racing. Looks like a conservative has gone Radical. Best of luck with your new acquisition.
