Default Original colors for Specialised Mouldings?

I was told by the original owner of my March 719 FF that the orange color the car originally had was from the factory. Does anyone have color plates or matches for Specialised Mouldings colors? Is it possible it was the same orange as McLaren?

TIA

It may be worth shooting an email to Marchant & Cox in the UK. They may be able to help or point you in the right direction.

HI Garey,
The paperwork on my Lola T322 states the color as McLaren Orange.
The bodywork still has the original Specialised Mouldings Ltd. sticker.
I hope this information is helpful.

Ken, that's a huge confirmation for me! Now I can start putting things in order for the paint work!

Default Pigment

Almost all Specialised Mouldings colours were Ryland pigment - I know Lola and Tiga used them. (now Llewellyn Ryland)
Pigment for Resins / Flocoats / Gelcoats (RAL - Polyester colour paste)
Try this from a quick search

RAL 1034 (PCP28092) Orange Polyester Pigment (Contains Lead)

A friend of mine used to have Denny Hulme's M20 and since he's the most detail-oriented Vintage guy I know, he told me that the color was
RAL 1028 Melon Yellow
https://www.ralcolorchart.com/ral-cl...8-melon-yellow

He got this information from the McLaren Trust (Duncan Fox)
