I can't say that this is THE choice, but I put a Battery Tender BTL24A360C in my car and have been pleased so far. It weighs less than 3 pounds. I haven't yet tested how many starts and/or sessions it will make without charging, so I hook it up every session for now.
Note - the company is changing to new generation batteries, but the original LiFePo4 are available through various vendors.

If you need ballast, there are heavier options; that's not my situation.
