I wonder if this is the same Tex Arnold of vast SCCA experience, one time [maybe still] partner with the most excellent SCCA administrator Patc Henry, who wisely chose to stay in Denver area when the misguided move to Topeka happened back in the day ?
Tex, if this is you, and if Patc is with you, my best to you both.
In my rotten memory you at one time bought a Genie Mk10, the ex Don Wester, ex Bill Eve and Earl Jones car that they ran in USRRC in 1966 and even those first year CanAms. Also in said rotten memory you wadded the car up to utter destruction some time some place ?
I seem to remember that a Genie labeled on the rim spokes was used as a garden hose winderupper ?
Or is this all a figment of my imagination ?
Love PRS's by the way, they did a good job of copying the Crossle of the time and made a strong easy to work on and easy to drive race car. I have minimal experience driving one, a few years at the Lime Rock historics, in a car I sold to Sam Posey and he let me drive. He had the car hot rodded, currenty a strong 1750 pushrod on twin webers but is available as a roller and just needs a Kent, or even better a Fit for trouble free years and years of racing, to run as a CFF .
Tex, if this is the Tex I knew years ago, Hello, and I hope you are well.

    Well, Well ! It's been a while, hasn't it !
Your memory of the Genie is quite accurate. I still have a slightly bent Genie wheel !
The PRS is a joy to drive. However, at 84 I've decided it's a bit late to continue mixing it up with the younger folks. My focus has shifted to restoring old race cars -- currently an '83 VD Super Vee.
Patc and I are right now hunkered down in a snowstorm in Colorado. She now works at ACCUS and would love to hear from you.
We hope you are well and happy. Cheers, Tex

    A few questions:

Who is PRS? Precision Racing Service?

Would a 6' 220# driver be happy in this car?

What's the lever to the left of the driver? Brake bias?

    Thanks.

I don't recall what PRS stood for back in the day - somebody here will chime in. There weren't very many of the cars built but some of the few FFs were famously designed by Sergio Rinland (no connection to the Swiss RinnSport operation). They are fairly roomy as was the norm at that time. Lovely cars and fast in their day.

I see a brake bias dial on the left side of the dash. The lever looks like a rear sway bar adjuster.

Always a good quick reference: http://www.thekentlives.com/index.ph...aford/thecars/

    Default Brake Bias top left?

I think I see the BB at top left with the hand-drawn F. ??

Is that a cockpit bar adjuster?

PRS is Pro Racing Services. RH is for Ray Hughes - designer PRS began in 1978 and disbanded in 1983. Derrick Daley was one of the principals.
A 6 ft, 220 driver could squeeze into the cockpit, but elbow room would be at a premium ! The bend in the knees wouldn't be helpful to comfortable driving.
Lever at left is rear sway bar adjuster. Brake Balance Adjuster is knob at 10:30 relative to the steering wheel. It's marked F with the clockwise arrow to indicate "more breaking forward". Cheers, Tex Arnold

All these years and I thought PRS stood for Polish Racing Sled.

    Default Prs rh01

I also own a PRS and would concur with Tex as to fitting a 220 pound 6' driver.
I weigh in at between 185 and 190 depending on the season at 5"11.
Elbow space is at a premium and the tops of my legs are pretty close to the dash.
I use a poured seat and once in, I do however feel pretty comfortable.
The one thing I have tried to correct without success is the position of the shift lever.
It is too far back for my liking.
Downshifts are fine, but I found that I have to reverse and cup my hand to the outside of the car for 4th on the upshift.
This insures that I don't accidentally grab second.
This car looks really good and Tex has the jigs for suspension bits as well as spares.
That is a big deal when owning this marque.
Joemor 4 since you are both in Colorado, perhaps take the time to visit the car and see how it fits.
That's really the best way to tell.

    Default Super Tex

Tex is a great guy and this ought to be a super CF for SCCA or vintage. I called Tex for advice on making a windscreen for my PRS RH-01. Tex mailed to me a pattern and photos. Way beyond what I expected and saved a lot of time for me. This is a good price too.
