    Default New Karting Forum

I know a lot of ApexSpeeders use karting as a way to stay in shape or even get the rest of the family involved in racing. It's been asked for a few times in the past, and I always wanted to add it (and I can't say exactly why it never actually happened), so now is as good a time as any to add a Karting forum to ApexSpeed.

We also use it as a way to get our kids addicted to the sport while young.

Great idea - happy you're adding this.

Sounds awesome. We are full on karters these days and the information is very fragmented.

    Thanks Doug!
I went back to the forum index page, but do not see the header for this up just yet. Am I missing something?

Right now it's just a sub-forum under the General forum category. If there is enough use of the Karting forum, I will add it to the full forum display with it's own Classified section and maybe some other categories. I'd love to see it get some traction, it would be nice to build it up here.

    Default Atta boy!

Doug good for you. It should come as no surprise that most of the front runners in FRP are directly from karting. Albeit at the higher levels. Pelfrey/ KHill and USF. McCusker was very good in karts at the highest level as was Hargrove. My grandson was 14 and wanted to race FC "someday" so I bought him a TAG Tony kart.Main reason was to see if the light goes on. Local club put him directly in Senior. He had very limited exp. even in rentals. Damn if he doesn't win the championship! 2 years straight BEFORE he is even old enough to be a senior. So one of my crew says hell if you're gonna do it so am I, my granddaughter says so am I. Before I turn around we have 5 TAGS and 4 Briggs! Plus 2 associates went and got 4 karts for the 2 of them!! Along with the 2 VD's I can't even see the floor in the shop.I got to tell you we are having a blast. I sincerely hope it takes off. Best wishes for it.
