Tom Sloe

After the Runoffs last year Tom Sloe had his membership revoked for waiting for a car he was unhappy with to appear and then ran him off the track. This was not his first time being called out for dirty driving.

In this months Fastrack I see that he has been re-instated by the BoD.

Can anyone explain why he was let back in?

Looks like his membership number was reinstated but not any licensing.

More specifically, if you read closely it clearly states that his 1-year competition ban has been replaced with a permanent ban from competition (or words to that effect). But he can resume being a member.

MOTION: To suspend Tom Sloe’s (Member #280767) SCCA competition privileges and ban his participation as a driver in any SCCA event permanently effective immediately. PASSED.

MOTION: To reinstate Mr. Tom Sloe’s membership #280767 effective immediately. PASSED.

What that means in practical terms is that, while he cannot compete, he can register at an event as a member and get a crew (hot) pass, which gives him access to the pits and pit wall.

He shouldn't be allowed to even stand that close to the racing surface.

I am appalled that the BoD let this scum bag back into the club. He should be gone forever.
