    Default 2016 Runoffs Results

    http://www.scca.com/downloads/18056-...icial/download

    Thompson had a 593.

    Brothers had a 494 rave (I think).

Stewart was the only MC powered car and was swapping the lead with Thompson until he went out (he said his battery died).

Diehm's car was very fast, he spun early on but still managed to get 3rd. I'm assuming it was 593 powered, but I'm not 100% sure.

To bad more people didn't show.
The weather was excellent (maybe a little on the warm side) and the track was challenging (in a very fun way).

Thanks to Jack Walbran for the pizza and beer for the F500 party Wed. That was a great opportunity for everyone to meet and talk about the class.

The race was great to watch. Good close racing with no contact!

I am looking forward to next year already! I am sure a lot more people will show up at Indy!

Brian still had a tired 494 in it. He didn't have time to get the 593 swap done.

Check out his trap speeds in qualifying.
There is no doubt that the Rotax 593 and the 600cc MC engine have an advantage over the 494. However you cannot find many decent 494 engines around anymore and they have been out of production for many years.

Brian Novak still holds the the F500 lap record at Mid-Ohio with a 494 set in 2005 at the Runoffs.
