    Default Fire system plumbing

I don't think the GCR says anything about the material of lines for the fire system. I have always seen tubing used but was wondering if braided stainless PTFE lines are acceptable. Teflon's melting point is something like 620F, no? Is Dekabon a better choice or should I just stick with 1/4" Aluminum tubing?

    Thanks in advance.

If you r using a SPA bottle (or other) that it is configured to use Decabon only and with the associated pull fittings you have no options. Using a firing head and nozzles that have NPT or tube thread U can use -4 Teflon braided lines. Always try to keep lines short as possible.

Al tubing is cheap, b-nuts used usually work loose over time, and work harden and sometimes crack at the flare fitting even with a sleeve, is hardware grade, and prone to kinking (usually from bad installation).
