    Default Shock absorbers

With the help of several from this forum I have gathered enough parts to start mocking up for assembly my 1969 LeGrand FF. As this has been a "no budget line" project I am searching for the best new prices and good deals on "slightly used' parts. I am now asking for input on front and rear shocks. New or very good condition used parts. New, I was considering Spax, comments please. If someone is willing to part with some very good used stuff, Front shocks are 8 3/8 extended, rears are 12 5/8 extended. Measurements taken off original set.

If you have the original set, they may be able to be rebuilt.

Fronts are 8 3/8" eye to eye extended? That is extremely short. Could that be a typo?

I am verifying now, that has been the common response, 'fronts are really short". We "thought" that these were original measurements but now checking.

    Thanks

Anyone have a number for Andy Antipas?

    Default Shock absorber (updated)

OK, miscommunication with my out of state source.

    Fronts are 11 1/2 Extended

    Rears are 12 1/2 Extended

Measurements might be off 1/16th or 1/8 as they were on the car when checked

Or I can sell you steel, single adjustable AVO shocks from $245 (AUD). Normal sizes go in 1" increments, but different length top eyes can give intermediate sizings.

You can find more details on my website http://avoaustalia.com.au

Sometimes it can be cheaper to ship direct from the factory in the UK, and I can sell to you in £'s.
