    You're correct, I believe it was in one of the garages at the time.

    Somebody got a screaming deal ! Wish it was me, but I couldn't talk the wife into it. Always wanted an Indy car. Maybe someday when I grow up !

    Experience with these cars tells me the buyer did get a screaming deal - that means he'll spend a lot of time standing in the garage screaming at the car, followed by the screaming that will occur everytime he sees the cost of a replacement part (or cost to fabricate), followed by the screams of trying to get that engine to run.

    I'm told that a nose/front wing can cost as much as a decent Club Ford

    The Buick engine should be fairly easy. Theres quite a few parts out there floating around on the Buick Stage II forum. The Buick guys won't use em cause the CI is too small. I myself would have fitted up an Indy Lights engine and tossed the turbo. I see body and sus parts for sale often. I bought a Swift FA car last year and have found parts for it are shocking.

    Pop-

    The swift FA parts bins are drying up and those cars are getting ridiculously expensive to support unless you have a boatload of spares from a previous owner.

    Cars like these are best for those of us with engineering degrees and a TIG welder. For others without such facilities, it's getting to be a lot of money.

    I would have snatched that champ car up at that price almost definitely.

    Yea - a big end that "spit out of the block"!

    Don't think that 'rod end" was from Aurora!

    Gents;

    I talked to Jed a couple weeks ago, and the car is still available as the high bidder backed out.

    If anyone is interested, I can be of assistance in gathering photos, information, transporting, etc.
