    Default rim

I think you may be onto something
I have googled a spitfire rim and it seems that is what
    the centre is from
but my rims are 5.5 " ( standard formula ford )
and I think the spitfire was 4.5 or 5"
so maybe I just need a centre and I can use an outer I already have
    anyway
I am still looking for a rim
    thanks

    Default Merylyn

Glad to help, trust me its a spitfire ... back in the day I raced a Mk11A in Canada mostly ... we used spitfire rims, as for the width, I thought they came in 5.5 ...

BTW the front spindles/hub- bearing carrier were spitfire, it must be remembed in the early days of FF manufactures in GB racing cars used as much street stuff as possible

Did you ever wonder why all the centerlock wheels has a 3-3/4 BCD in this example case Pin Circle Diameter... you guessed it Spitfire. Just like the railroad guages were 4 feet eight and on half inches ... based on the typicial Roman wagon

I saw some spitfire rims some guys relocated the center section inward on the rear wheels for more track ... [ I heard by via a 20 ton press] ... cheers mate, love your country except for the gun laws...

damn that's supposed to be Merlyn not what I typed before my coffee ... lol
