    Default March 822 in close-up detail

    We've just uploaded article number 100 in the BritishRacecar.com series!

    I've mentioned before that I'm keen to broaden the project's scope to include newer and faster cars. Well, this newest car is a big step forward. It's a 1982 vintage Formula Two racecar, complete with carbon fiber bodywork, ground effects, etc., etc. This car circles Watkins Glen at an average speed of 110mph! Here's the link:

    March built 12 882 cars for European and Japanese F2
    1 more built new in 83 for can am racing all with BMW power

    6 82A cars built for USA F Atlantic and 1 or 2 cars went to Japan

    1 ex works tub and parts where built up into a car and sold to club racer in UK who fitted lotus esprit bodywork and raced it in Donington GT races 1983/4
    later this car was raced in Interserie races in europe with can am body work with audi vw turbo engine 1987-93
