Bill Smiley, former road racer in FF and Solo racer in B or C mod (van deiman FF) passed away last nite after a long battle with cancer.

Those in the solo community will remember him as Linda Smiley's (multiple Solo II Nationals winner) husband and crew.

Have known Bill since 1978 and never heard an unkind word about him.

Sad news! I used to autocross with Bill in the 90's and early 2000's. He will be missed.

Do you know if Bill got to see the card that many of us signed at the Solo Nationals last week?

I do not know Dick.

Have kind of stayed clear lately due to the stress the whole family has been under.

They did not need anyone else intruding in these final days.
