I’m working on a couple of different race reports, one only for FFDA members and the other I’ll post here. Since most of the new drivers have already checked in I want to thank them for their perseverance last weekend. True they kept finding problems but they also went ahead and fixed them and got out the next session. Let’s face it, new cars have teething problems, and while Sam’s were the most severe, I’ve seen others pack up in the face of this adversity. We’ve got a great group here and they’ll really benefit from there Nelson experience at our later events.
In general, I’d also like to thank the Finger Lakes gang for a great event. They had a good registration and most helped us a lot. I’d like to especially thank Fran McAllister and Lew Geisy who went way above the expected in helping us out. Scott and Kerrie Lane, the track management, are others I’d like to especially recognize because I know I’d never get that level of responsiveness at Watkins Glen or Road America—it would be just the opposite!
I’ve got a bunch of day job work to do but I’ll get something out by the weekend.
