It was voted on that for the NJMP event in June, the Atlantic Championship Series will be using the June 2012 GCR.

1600cc engines get a 30 lb weight reduction; everything else in table E gets more weight.

One thing I don't understand is the Swift 016's requirements. In one section (table 2), it can have an unrestricted 2266cc engine with a 32 mm SIR, weighing 1420 lbs.

In the new (June 1) table E, a car with an unrestricted 2300cc or less engine is allowed SIRs of 29, 30, or 31mm with weights (including the 25 lb penalties) of 1410, 1485, and 1550. The 32mm SIR isn't even allowed.

So, what does a Swift 016 have to weigh and what SIR can it use?

    Paul,
I believe the table E spec applies to 016's that have been modified to conform to standard FA spec. ie: narrower wings, bodywork, etc (think Mucha )

Ted doesn't lurk often on Apexspeed.

From my 10 pages of notes from the meeting:

    1. Inventory what they have.
    2. Ship some inventory to Carl Haas for retail distribution.
    3. Determine what needs to be built (in terms of spares), and award work to subcontractors.
    4. Determine feasibility to ramp up to be able to produce up to five 016s in first year.

From the report I got back from Joe from the meeting he said the guy from Carl Haas that gave the presentation also mentioned that they were gonna maintain the pricing levels from the last time the cars were in service. Now whether thats good or bad is up to each to decide.

    Hey Kevin,

It may have been unclear, but I thought I heard him say they would use the original Swift listed prices.

    Regards,
    Bill

    Hey Kevin,

Update #1.....just spoke to AO at Haas and he said only the PARTS would be sold at Swift list prices.......probably around 6 weeks from pricing an 016, or SG4 gearbox. He made a point that the prices for those items would change.

Swift ordered batches of 40 for those items, and Haas is looking at a limited run of 5, sooooo.......

    Regards,
    Bill
