    Default Ford SOHC Valve Seats

Hello, I am getting ready to prepare a SOHC Ford engine and understand that there is a problem with valve seat failure in these engines, I think around the number cylinder? Could any one on the forum provide a "fix" for this proble such as a different seat material or a reliable aftermarket replacement? Appreciate any information and insight. Thanks Jerry

I was waiting to see if anyone was going to respond.
From what I know the heads never had seats per-se, just the cast iron. If you wanted to replace the exhaust side 'seats' with hard ones that would be the thing to do. Don't know what affect it has on flow or anything and have no experience with this.
You could always call Ivey and ask them. www.iveyengines.com
