Default Fuel cell hardware question ---

Does anyone know of an aluminum filler neck (that someone fabs) that could be attached to a VD fuel cell replacing the long rubberised "chicken neck" arrangement used on the RF 97.

Ideally this would be a flanged metal filler with radially drilled bolt holes, then a second matching piece that would go inside the cell and fit against the flanged filler, sealing things. The tough part is the size; the top of the VD tank is only 3" wide (and that's where the fuel goes in).

This could be fabricated, I know, but is there some proprietary part alread out there -- an airplane piece, maybe?

Thanks, if anyone has any thoughts ---

Have you checked ATL, they have a mini fill neck that looks like it may work ( or Fuel Safe ).

    Default It is indeed, Richard!

-- and the beast IS coming along. But it's slow when you're old and alone. What happened to all those nice young Wisconsin kids who used to live in my garage about forty years ago?

    Best regards,
