    Default Sebring FA WinterNationals

So we are watching the FA race way back on the far side of the course. One lap to go and Lou Cooper Jr. is in second.

Grant had gotten checked up big time by back markers.

They throw the checkered rag, and lo and behold the first Atlantic to come by is Cooper Jr.

It all unfolded in T17 on the last lap. Cooper gets a national win running under his new association with Polestar.

    Default Sunday

Treadway, with the help of Mirl Swan seems to have made the transition from FF to FA. Jeremy won on Sunday.

Rennie, now that you mention it...

We took about 2300 pictures. I went back and looked. Only 5 of Jacek.

I guess it's a case of "eye of the beholder". But it just doesn't make for a shot you'd want to frame on the wall. A canvas sorely in need of a paint job.

Interesting engineering yes, good presentation... no. LOL

I can see it coming: a car show on the Bravo network. Fashion-orientated people will help you with the exterior design of your race car to make it most presentable. "Queer Eye for the Car Guy"?

Any more rear shots of the Atlantics? Love the ones that show those fat tires loaded.

    Default Jacek

2-4 seconds off the pace... I'm glad the SCCA is going to get a muzzle on that beast before the domination gets really out of hand!

I loved that pic. I need a copy to post up everytime guys start talking about ramping up the horsepower on a FC and calling it a FA. And I always wanted a car painted Mclaren colors.

There were some good ones from last year's VIR double national that I think Dennis Valet took where it looked like the tire was going to get pulled off the rim.

A good question is what the time spread was during the previous years, if Jacek was running this past weekend in 2010 spec.

    Jason,

2010: on pole for race #1, ~2 seconds off everywhere else in the dry (it rained a lot)
2009: ~4 seconds off the pace
2008: 1-3 seconds off the pace

As far as I am aware, Jacek would have been running the car in 2010 spec (i.e., current engine chart, pre-revision), unless anyone knows anything definitively otherwise.

    Cheers,
    Rennie

Jacek is a smart man and his development is working well for him. These are his fastest laps at Sebring for the winter nationals. It is evident that the 016 chassis is light years beyond his old Ralt.

    2005 - 2:06.08
    2006 - 2:05.66
    2007 - no time
    2008 - 2:05.30
    2009 - 2:05.39
    2010 - 2:01.38
    2011 - 2:01.66

"Don't take pictures of the backs of the cars. You are wasting our time."

Then... i get PMs and emails saying, "Do you have any more shots of the FAs just ripping and snorting as they tear up the pavement launching out of the hairpin?"

Well, yes... Can't figure out why i took these shots. I thought i was the only sicko that likes to watch them just disappear into the distance.

    Snarly beasts unleashed.

Just for reference... the winning FB. Just doesn't have that 'wall to wall' tire look.

OK... i used photoshop to give Coop a wider stance. Still not a FA.

    Jason,

2008-2010 would be his 014, if memory serves correctly. Not the 016.

    Guys,
In spite of all the discussion about Jacek's FA car, I only see pics of his CSR car. Did he actually run the FA car ? Otherwise, the comparisons may not be entirely accurate.
