Default Thank you!!! Compomotive Motorsport Wheels

After a lot of frustration in my search for good quality, affordable wheels to fit my 1985 Reynard Formula Continental I had the good fortune of finding Chris Cooke at Compomotive in the UK. He allowed me to order from him directly and all in with shipping from the UK, export and other miscellaneous costs the final amount for a set of 4 wheels was 930 $US.

My son purchased the car at a racing school in Canada and it came to us with a street wheel/tire setup that was not usable for FC racing. I had little in the way of specifications to provide, nonetheless Chris led me through the process and together we custom designed a set of wheels that fit beautifully out of the box, look great and perform well.

They are the Compomotive CXR Ultra Light Weight Motorsport wheels. I highly recommend Chris Cooke and Compomotive Motorpsort Wheels. Chris can be contacted at 00 44 1902 311499 or Chris@Compomotive.co.uk.

For the uneducated people unsure on what class car this is look no further then just above the cockpit....You could have done a better job centering it though

Thanks for the comment on the bodywork. It is an '85 Reynard. I understand it was purchased new and used until last year at Bridgestone Racing Academy in Pontypool, Ontario. They run a mechanics school as well as a racing school. The mechanics program covers everything from soup to nuts relative to maintenance and repair of these formula cars. I don't know exactly what has been modified since the car was new but have been told that they have made changes and improvements over the years. Relative to the extra wing; sorry, but my son just blew his budget with the new wheels. Thanks anyway.

Too bad the boat was not manufactured by the Formula company. (I caught your joke, Brian)

    Default Modified bodywork

The nose has been modified. The rest looks pretty much original, but I'm not 100% certain. The original nose incorporated a wing thru-tube and two-piece front wing. The inboard edges of the wing were angled to meet up with the angle of the nose.

I've always regarded the lines of the 85 Reynard FC as art!
