    Default NJMP Lightning gears?

I've looked thru the usual places without finding a definitive answer. Gears recommendation for monoposto FF?

I have run there only once and used Watkins Glen ratios based on conversations with others (S2 and modern FF). They seemed to work well although I did make a note that a higher first gear might be preferable.

Which is why I like to use Lime Rock gears for Lightning, Summit gears for Tbolt.

    @ Lightning, I have 19/33, 21/30, 23/28, 25/25.

I want to change to 19/31, 21/30, 23/27 or 24/28, 26/26, as soon as I can buy some more gears.

Bill holds the Lightning lap record for FF, set using his Watkins Glen gears. Not saying those are optimal for the track, because we havent been back, but certainly close.

PS, Alan, I assume the numbers you gave are for a 9/31 R&P? For a 10/31 a 1:1 gear is rarely needed.

Yes, a 9:31R&P. JD King suggested I use the above gearing as my gears are off a bit. Third gear needs to be taller for the bowl.
