    Default Pertronix

I am having some difficulty finding a Pertronix system for my distributor. It is for a 1600 with a Bosch distributor. Any suggestion?"

    call jay ivey.
he is a distributor for the pertronix, and will get you exactly what you need.
I was told the same info as you, get the 1843, but it turned out that my distributor was a ford distributor, and it needed a differnt pertronix application.
I wasted time and money in shipping.
    Jay is the man.

    Mike,

Ring Charlie Williams as he has installed Pertronix in both Bosch and Ford distributers for me in the past. Since he's close to you it'd be a snap for him to drop over and do the install.

You could also pop your distributor out and drop it off for him to do the work.

I sure wish I had looked at this stuff before I went to Charlie's to get some oil for the Lola. I was told by Pegusas that that the unit would not work with a Bosch distributor. I'll call Charlie next week. I had called Ivey two times. No calls returned there.

Won't work? It's in my Bosch distributor. It most certainly does work.

Buy two. When they quit there's no fixing them. And like anything else they'll quit when you're furthest from home and no one else at the track has a spare! (or when you accidently hook it up backwards thrashing in the pits)
